Making A Payment


Welcome to the Family Support Registry (FSR)

The FSR is Colorado's child support and/or maintenance support payment processing center. Our role is to serve as the central location to receive and disburse these payments. We will maintain the official payment and disbursement records for your court order.

Your Role

The person ordered to pay support is the OBLIGOR. You should have an 8 digit FSR account number which is how we identify your account.

What do You Need to Make a Payment?

  • Your FSR account number
  • Your name
  • The amount to remit for each FSR account, if you are paying on multiple FSR accounts

Payment Time Frames

Payments are processed/cashed the same business day that they are received (with complete information). Payments are generally sent to the other party within 2 business days of receipt.

Electronic Payment Options

The FSR offers multiple payment options to come directly out of your U.S. Checking or Savings Account. The electronic payment options have a 5 business day waiting period before we can pull out the first payment.

Single Payment

  • Electronic Check
    • No Fee
    • One-time payment
    • Payment takes 2 business days for us to receive it from bank.

  • Electronic Check Payments

Multiple Payments

  • Recurring Automatic Withdrawal (RAW)
    • No Fee
    • Set up for once a month, twice a month, etc.

  • Pay-by-Phone
    • No Fee
    • Make payments when YOU want to

  • To make your payment you simply call the 'Interactive Voice Response Unit' (IVR) at 303-299-9123 (local) or 1-800-374-6558 (toll-free) and follow the instructions for pay-by-phone. You can schedule your payment up to thirty days in advance.

  • You can set up your Pay by Phone option by filling out the form.

Credit/Debit Card Payments


The FSR has partnered with Value Payment Systems (VPS) to accept credit and debit card payments. Credit and debit card payments can be made by visiting the VPS website. VPS charges a service fee based on the payment amount. Please select the link below to be taken to the VPS website.

To make a credit or debit card payment you will need the following information

  • Obligor's name
  • Obligor's FSR Account Number or Obligor's SSN

Mailing in a Payment


Checks and money orders (DO NOT SEND CASH)

Make payable to: Family Support Registry or FSR and include:

  • Your FSR account number
  • Your name
  • Your court case number
  • The amount to remit for each FSR account, if you are paying on multiple FSR accounts

Cash Payments

PayNearMe at 7-Elevens

The FSR now offers another way to make cash payments using PayNearMe at 7-Elevens. Simply go to paynearme.com/Colorado to print a payslip and pay with cash at any 7- Elven location. There is a $1.99 service fee per bill. If you have more than one FSR account, you will need to print a different payslip for each account. There is also the mobile app option to access your payslip.

To make cash payments using PayNearMe at 7-Elevens you will need the following information:

  • Your FSR account number
  • Your social security number
  • Your name

Money Gram

The FSR has collaborated with Money Gram to accept cash payments. Payments can be made at any Money Gram location. Money Gram charges a service fee to make a cash payment based on the payment amount. Please select the link below for more information and to find a Money Gram location.

To make a Money Gram payment you will need the following information:

  • Biller name: CO Family Support Registry
  • Receive code: 14651
  • Obligor's name or SSN
  • Obligor's FSR account number

Payment Records


The FSR can provide you with a legal record of all payments received for your account. You can access this information by logging in or creating your account here: Online Account

Missing/Lost Payments Sent to the FSR

If you have reason to believe that a payment is missing or lost, the FSR will need the following information to search for the payment:

  • Payment method
  • Payment date
  • Payment check or money order number
  • Payment amount
  • Date the payment was redeemed by the FSR. If the payment has not been redeemed, the FSR has not received the payment in our office.
  • Information provided with payment (obligor name, FSR account number, SSN, etc.)
